Sunday Mornings

At Canvas Students, we believe that all of our stories—all of our lives—are being divinely painted on a canvas that is bigger than we can see. So, each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., we meet for Bible Study and fellowship as we seek to discover where our lives fit into the story of God.

Beginning in August 2016, Sunday mornings will consist of both large group and small group interaction. All students from Grade 6-12 will gather together for large group opening games, an introduction to the lesson, and prayer requests. Then, the students will separate into two groups: grade 6-8 and grade 9-12, where they will discuss the lesson in age appropriate conversation. The curriculum is called XP3 Students, and the content seeks to create wonder, passion, and discovery in students:

  • WONDER of their heavenly Father and how much He loves them
  • DISCOVERY of their identity that is determined by a personal relationship with Jesus
  • PASSION that invigorates them to do what Jesus did on earth and personally participate in God’s story to show His love to the rest of the world

This will be completed by fueling three relationships (God, self and others) through five filters (grow spiritually, connect relationally, serve actively, examine biblically and decide personally) in the lives of your students.

Friday Night Fellowships

We also offer special events each month to encourage community, relationships, growth, and a whole lot of fun! Typically, students gather the last Friday of each month from 6pm – 9pm.

NOVEMBER 18 -- Bowling @ Langford Lanes: “It’s one, two, three strikes you’re out of the…” Wait a second, that’s the wrong sport. Come bowl a strike, a spare, or a turkey with us right by Westhills Stadium in Langford! The cost is $10 and that includes bowling and your meal!

DECEMBER 9 --  The Grinch once said, “Maybe Christmas...doesn’t come from a store. Maybe Christmas … perhaps … means a little bit more!” This Christmas Season, we want to give back. So come join us on December 9 as we share some Christmas Cheer with some of the senior adults in our city!
