At Canvas Students, we believe that all of our stories—all of our lives—are being divinely painted on a canvas that is bigger than we can see. So, each Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m., the students start with everyone at Canvas for a time of praise & worship and then they meet for Bible Study and fellowship as they seek to discover where their lives fit into the story of God. Once a month the students join the adults in the larger gathering so that families with students can enjoy being together being together.

Students in grade 6-12 join us on Wednesday nights from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning October 18, 2017 as we explore life’s most significant questions through the brand new Student Alpha Film Series.

Beginning in January 2018 on Sunday mornings, Students (6-8, 9-12) will begin a new series titled: Jesus Studies. These studies will cut through the confusion, teaching students a Christ-centered look at the major issues they deal with in life. Here are some of the areas we will cover: Jesus and identity, Jesus and your faith, Jesus and culture, Jesus and loving other, Jesus and tough times, Jesus and your image, Jesus and your stress, Jesus and forgiveness, Jesus and influence, Jesus and relationships, Jesus and mean people, Jesus and your future, and Jesus and stuff.

Our monthly Friday night fellowships were created to give students an opportunity to gather and have fun. We believe that amid all the pressures of teenage life, our students sometimes need to take a break and have good healthy fellowship! Our next Friday Night Fellowship is a a Christmas Games Night on Friday, December 8 from 630 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Save the dates of January 26, March 2, and April 27 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 pm. for our winter and spring Friday Night Fellowships!

We will depart Langford at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday March 27. Tuesday afternoon will be spent playing in the snow, tubing, playing capture the flag. In the evening we will have a time of worship, Bible study, prayer, and large group games in the evening. This trip is open to all grade 8-12 students. Grade 6-7 are welcome to come if accompanied by an adult family member. The cost of the trip (lodging, lift ticket, ski rentals, tubing) is: $125 per student.

One of the greatest ways for any of us to grow is through serving others. Students in grade 6-12 are invited to a mission experience of a lifetime. The mornings will be spent hosting a Canvas Camp for children in Penticton, the afternoons will be spent in fun team building adventures, and the evenings will be spent in worship, Bible study, and prayer. The cost is still TBD.
